Edinburgh Festival Jobs has been live for one month and it has been a hectic four weeks. EFJ is still in it’s infancy but the rate of growth has been surprising even to us and we were biased to start with! In the last month we have had 700 unique visits, from 20 countries and over 4000 page views. Looks like this was a much needed site!

In the pipeline
Edinburgh Festival Vacancies is working hard to establish links with all of Edinburgh’s festival organisations. The festival fringe have confirmed they will be posting new vacancies here. We are also working with Edinburgh Festivals and hope to have more news on this soon.

The Fringe is currently looking for a Marketing assistant
The Edinburgh Festival Fringe are looking for a Sponsorship & Marketing Administation Assistant to aid the smooth running of the Sponsorship and Marketing Department. The position will run until May, at which point the role will be reviewed. Deadline for application is the 19th February 2009

The Edinburgh International Festival are looking for a Media Relations Manager (Maternity Cover)
The Media Relations Manager assists with the promotion of the Edinburgh International Festival and its public image, taking particular responsibility for the development and implementation of the Festival’s media strategy and acting as the primary contact for members of the press.

Last week, (Sunday 31st January) Edinburgh Festival Jobs launched. This new site offers free job listings for vacancies and services that are related to the Edinburgh Festivals. All vacancies linked to Festival activities will be posted. This includes all accomodation, food and drinks, Festival event promotion, production and performance. Infact if it is in any way linked to the support and success of Edinburghs festival then you can submit it to this site.

This site was put together by Green Park Media, an Edinburgh based web company founded by two experienced internet evangelists. Edinbugh Festival Jobs uses the excellent jobber platform. It is hosted with mediatemple.net. Feedback services are provided by uservoice.com.
