Volunteer - Customer Research and Audience Development Staff
at Edinburgh International Science Festival (Anywhere)
Overview:
the Edinburgh International Science Festival is looking for volunteers to be festival ambassadors. You would be involved in visiting Festival venues, giving out information to the general public, promoting and answering questions about the Festival, and generally being the welcome face of the EISF. You will also be asking Festival visitors to fill in market research questionnaires as part of this role.
Commitment: EISF would ask you to commit to a minimum of 6 shifts or as much as possible during the Festival from 30th March - 15 April. Shifts will be 4hrs in length and will include weekends and evenings as well as weekdays. You will work in pairs so will be part of a team.
Requirements: This is a public-facing role and would suit some who is confident, articulate and an excellent communicator. You should be able to work on your own initiative, be positive, enthusiastic, responsible and reliable. You should be flexible in your approach, as you might be going along to different venues each day such as National Museum Scotland, the Scottish Storytelling Centre the City Art Centre and St Andrews Square.

Where possible you will also be able to attend some EISF events and shows free of charge. Expenses are provided for travel within Edinburgh and lunch/refreshments.
