Accessibility Statement

Edinburgh Festival Jobs is committed to making our website accessible to as many people as possible, regardless of ability or the technology used to access it.

This statement was last updated on 30 March 2026.

Standards we follow

We aim to meet the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 to Level AA. These guidelines explain how to make web content more accessible to people with disabilities.

What we've done

  • The site works with screen readers and keyboard-only navigation
  • All pages have a logical heading structure
  • Form fields have associated labels and clear error messages
  • Colour contrast meets WCAG AA standards for text and interactive elements
  • All animations respect the prefers-reduced-motion setting
  • The site is fully responsive and usable on mobile devices
  • Images have appropriate alternative text
  • Skip navigation links are available on every page
  • Focus indicators are visible for keyboard users
  • Touch targets meet the 44x44px minimum recommended size

Known limitations

We're aware of the following areas where accessibility could be improved:

  • The interactive map on job listings is not fully accessible to screen reader users, though the location is also provided as text
  • Some older PDF CVs uploaded by applicants may not be fully accessible

We're working to address these issues.

Reporting issues

If you find any part of our website difficult to use, please let us know. We take all feedback seriously and will do our best to fix the issue promptly.

Contact us at [email protected] with:

  • The page you had difficulty with
  • What you were trying to do
  • What happened and what you expected to happen
  • The device, browser, and any assistive technology you were using

We aim to respond within 5 working days.
