Bristo Square, George Square and nearby Fringe venues · £16/hour, freelance/casual, approx. 6–8 hours total
We’re looking for a friendly, reliable freelance flyerer to help promote our Edinburgh Fringe show, Don’t Flush Me Yet, from 24–29 August.
The show is a 45-minute absurd comedy about a lonely old man whose bowel movement becomes sentient. It’s silly, strange and unexpectedly heartfelt.
We’re looking for someone to distribute around 1,000 flyers across a few targeted shifts, mainly around theSpace @ Surgeons’ Hall, Bristo Square, George Square, Pleasance Dome/Courtyard and nearby comedy/theatre queues.
We don’t want someone to simply hand out flyers as quickly as possible. We’re looking for someone personable who can talk to people, identify likely audiences, and briefly pitch the show.
Dates: 24–29 August
Hours: flexible, likely 6–8 hours total across several shifts
Best times: late afternoon/evening, especially before our 9:20pm show
Pay: £16/hour
Location: central Edinburgh Fringe venues
Helpful but not essential:
- Previous Fringe or street flyering experience
- Confidence approaching people
- Good judgement about who might genuinely be interested
- Reliability and good communication
You’ll be paid hourly rather than per flyer distributed. We’ll ask for a quick WhatsApp check-in at the start and end of each shift, including where you’ve been flyering and roughly how many flyers were used.
To apply, please include:
- any flyering / Fringe / promotions experience
- your availability between 24–29 August
- your phone number or WhatsApp
